For the budding home chef, only the latest and greatest in Kitchen wizardry will do. We all have that one appliance that is worn out and needs replacement. Or that set of dull and faded kitchen knives from our wedding gift. That’s why we’ve gathered some of the coolest kitchen gadgets for your home in 2018.
The Best New Kitchen Gadgets of 2018
#1 – Pizzacraft PC0601 Pizzeria Pronto Stovetop Pizza Oven
We love pizza in our home, but for years our attempts at making homemade pizza in our range oven ended in disappointment. Pizzas would take forever to cook – and still would not come out with that crispy crust that restaurants have gotten us accustom to.
The reason is that a conventional oven is just not designed to get as hot as a typical brick pizza oven. For a pizza to cook evenly and quickly, it needs at least 600 F.
Enter this amazing new kitchen gadget, the Pizzacraft PC0601. Finally, someone has come up with a small, convenient contraption for cooking pizzas on your stove. With a steel base, cordierite pizza stone, and steel hood – the Pizzacraft Pronto pre-heats in 10 minutes on the stove to a staggering 600 F.
It will fit on almost any stovetop and can cook a pizza in 6 minutes. Better yet, it’s $77 price tag makes a dedicated pizza oven look like an over-investment.

#2 -HUROM HZ Slow Juicer, Silver
We’ve used almost every brand of juicer on the market. We started off with a Breville Juice Fountain, which at $150 was our first serious investment into juicing at home. It worked well enough, but definitely did not extra all of the juice from our fruits and veggies, and clean up was a near nightmare due to all the parts and pieces.
Next, we moved to the more serious Kitchenaid Maximum Extractor which was definitely a step up. Its 2-stage juicing system and serious motor power made sure to extract more of the juice.
But now that we’ve been introduced to the Hurom line of slow juicers, we can never go back.
Hurom’s HZ Slow Juicer motor rotates at only 43 rpms to mimic the motion of a hand squeezing juice the old fashioned way. The result is amazing juice with a smooth, creamy head.
This machine extracts easily twice the output of our original Breville, and our pulp comes out totally dry and void of any liquid. It really does squeeze every last drop.
It’s not cheap, at $597, but for those who are serious about juicing – this is the real deal.
#3 – Cuisinart WAF-V100 Vertical Waffle Maker, Silver
There is something about a Belgian waffle that is near irresistible. Maybe it’s the crunchy exterior and fluffy interior. Maybe it’s the pockets built for holding maple syrup and butter.
Whatever your reason for having a waffle addiction, this new waffle maker design from our friends at Cuisinart is the easiest (and cleanest) way to make your waffles.
Cuisinart entirely redesigned their waffle maker to now stand vertically, allowing you to pour in your batter from the top.
The non-stick interior has a cooking element running through its entirety, allowing it to cook all sides evenly.
With a locking handle, an audible completion tone, and 5 power settings – making waffles this new year will be as easy as 1-2-3.
Side note: If you have a large household, this unit may not be for you due to the fact that it can only cook one waffle at a time. For large families, you may want to check out Cuisinart’s Double Belgian Waffle Maker. It’s just as good, built like a tank, and will crank out two large waffles at a time.
#4 – Edge of Belgravia Diamond Knife Block and Knife Set
Not only does Edge of Belgravia make a superb set of knives, but their unique Diamond Knife Block design is sheer artwork for your kitchen.
The design of the block was carefully weighted for a light, architectural quality. Each slot is slightly angled for a pleasant extraction experience.
The Gelatine 7 Piece knife set is a great starter set for the Diamond block. Super sharp steel knives that you’ll actually want to have out on the counter.
#5 – Hestan Cue Induction Cooking Hob
Have you ever wanted to cook like Chef Thomas Keller of the French Laundry?
Well, we’ve got the next best thing. Hestan, the company behind some of the best bbq cooking products, has release their stand alone cooking and training suite called the “Cue”.
Included is their 11″ smart induction hob, a 12″ high-end Hestan frying pan, and the Hestan Cue recipe app. With your smartphone, you can interact with the smart induction hob, following recipes and cooking amazing food.
